I have never seen a developer give in for free. War Thunder often gets updates on the Road Map and This is the current state of it. Gaijin asked the player base and came back with a roadmap way bigger than the player base expected, including more than the majority asked for, and to everyone's surprise, Gaijin is even faster than announced. This might have been the reason things escalated and the 130k reviews hit steam. And a minor gave in, saying that they might review things, here. The first response to that bombing was Gaijins lecture about how wrong the player base is, here. In the end, it was a total of 130k bad reviews on Steam. This time, the player base did not just review bomb the shit out of War Thunder a massive amount of all the viable complaints hit the reviews. But Gaijin finally broke the community with another update to make it worse again. Over the years, maybe since 2018, the grind became worse, the greed and the consequences became worse, and problems got ignored forever. The PR disasters are numerous on both sides, whether it's free Abrams or Makarovgate.Īnd this is what happened a few months ago at War Thunder and how Gaijin answered. Gaijins grind is based on xp/rp and Weegees is behind SL/Credits. Like events at Gaijin are super grindy, Weegee got 100 different resources. They use the same marketing strategies, with only minor differences in the degree of greed. Now, it is safe to say that Gaijin and Wargaming are fairly equal companies. I am still here, looking for changes to come back and play the snowflake events. I used to play WoWs (5k matches) and WT (maybe 20k), but for now I am done with WoWs because of submarines.
